The Long Table

The Long Table is a pioneering social enterprise working to change the world through food. We have been lucky enough to be part of their journey from the outset providing a wide range of design support from branding, marketing materials and campaign assets.

Project: Branding
Client: The Long Table

Food is at the heart of community, yet incredibly, a third of all food grown and produced is never eaten. The Long Table, a social enterprise based in Stroud and Cirencester, is on a mission to find delicious and inclusive solutions to this crisis—creating a space where everyone is welcome to feast, talk, laugh, and belong.

From the very beginning, we worked closely with founder Tom to develop a hand-drawn brand identity for their launch event, and we’ve been supporting them ever since. The result is a simple, distinctive, and malleable brand that reflects the warmth and inclusivity of The Long Table. The logo and typeface were designed to be replicable by staff, whether at the permanent site in Stroud or at pop-up events across the UK.

Beyond branding, we’ve continued to support The Long Table’s journey with a broad range of design and communication materials, including:

✔ Branding & Visual Identity
✔ Digital Design & Social Content
✔ Packaging & Uniforms
✔ Event & Signage Design

We’re proud to be part of this movement—helping The Long Table bring people together through food while tackling some of the most pressing issues in food waste and accessibility.

Brand Creation

The vision for The Long Table was always about openness and accessibility—not just in its mission, but in its branding too. Founder Tom’s original idea was to create a scalable model that could be replicated anywhere in the world, from Great Yarmouth to Ghana, without losing its essence.

Our challenge was to design a brand that would empower this vision, offering a framework that was simple, hand-drawn, and easy to reproduce—without the need for strict brand policing.

“Marcus has the unique gift of creating a brand identity for us that not only embodies our vision and values, but it also has the quality of being instantly recognisable, people have the feeling that they already know us.”

Tom Herbert, Founder, The Long Table
